I stole this pic from 4thringroad.
Everytime I get in our house, leave, come back again, travel the world, go to chalet, to the gym, hang out with friends – I have to pass by our kitchen on the ground floor.
Koko, our little bird buddy is always there in the cage. Looking at me, making sounds, sometimes strange, sometimes sane, regardless, he wants me to play with him, so I do. A couple of seconds, a minute or two maybe ? then POOF, I leave again.
He stays in the cage.
Thats his state for more than a year now. Always in the cage.
It kills me to see KOKO in that state.
I thought “Why don’t I free KoKo ?” a striking question came right back at me “Will he survive ?”
Tried contacting people who take care of animals, did not recieve an answer that feels good. Thats me being nice here.
Im not sensitive, its just that Koko is a being with a soul and I just feel like there are other ways to take care of an animal. Anything but a cage.
A goldfish is blessed, has a short memory span, it can survive a tank and stuff, right ? WRONG, look !
What Should I do ?
I need a solution.

Life. Thats all I could think of the moment I laid eyes on this fine picture. A friend of mine sent it to me.
Sometimes, colors and harmonized textures are missing in our daily diet, from breakfast till dinner dings in.
Truly believe that spoiling your eyes and senses to what you put into your system is a must. If you believe that what you eat is beautiful, it’ll definitely be reflected on your face, soul and attitude.
Small things really. Those small things make all the changes in the world.
Could spend a complete hour meditating on a picture like that. I would start by thinking of those who made the bread, brought the veggies, creamed cheese, those who raised goats, their lives, wages – the list goes on and on – all covered by a layer of appreciation to what they do. It feels good.
Very happy where I am right now. Hope you guys could feel something similar, if not, thats fine too, just accept what you have in and around you. Start appreciating things you take for granted.
Start with that full breath of fresh air. Many left us begging for one more.
Smile, you are alive today.
