Congrats OBAMAAAA!! Unfortunately, I haven’t had time to watch the whole inauguration speech, but I had to check out the performances. Jennifer’s performance was my favorite, mainly because Obama and Michelle danced to it! Alicia Keys did a superb job, as usual, but Katy Perry was a random choice.. (not sure if yaaa know what I mean..) If you didn’t get a chance to see Jennifer work her magic, then check it out below!
It’s time. Join more than 800 mayors and 750,000 grassroots supporters to demand that President Obama and Congress step forward with a plan to end gun violence.
A group of artists joined our effort to Demand A Plan and recorded a powerful, personal message. Please take a minute to watch the video and share it with your friends and family.
Our efforts cannot bring back the 20 innocent children murdered in Newtown, CT — or the 34 people murdered with guns every day in America. But we can prevent future tragedies by passing common sense legislation that will:
Require a criminal background check for every gun sold in America
Ban assault weapons and high-capacity magazines
Make gun trafficking a federal crime, including real penalties for “straw purchasers
On November 6th at 11.20 PM, Obama was re-elected as President of the United States of America making him the nation’s first black president to be re-elected two terms in a row. According to CNN’s exit polls, 55 percent of women voted for Obama, while only 44 percent voted for Mitt Romney. Men preferred Romney by a margin of 52 to 45 percent, and women made up about 54 percent of the electorate. In total, the gender gap on Tuesday added up to 18 percent — a significantly wider margin than the 12-point gender gap in the 2008 election. Who runs the world? Mhmm..
Obama’s acceptance speech, ironically, left us all speechless! *Signed, Sealed, Delivered, I’m YOURS!* Watch him do his thing on stage! (I personally did a little dougie on his behalf)
Never into politics, not a thing of interest in the world I occupy.
Thought of sharing it with you simply because while I was watching I was reminded by Female parliament members in K-town that might need a lesson or two – Public Speaking.
On another note, I find Michelle charming. Maybe the first lady I ever saw who goes out sleeveless, looks good on her. #RockedIt
