I was invited to Vilebrequin’s new store in The Grand Avenues Tuesday night. I personally fell in love with the store, it looked like a shack by La Jolla beach! The only thing missing was the cool breeze and… the beach itself! (If only..) *tear* The invite I received last week was off the charts creative (below) and wondered what it was all about…
The whole concept behind it was a “Culinary Journey,” where the collection was inspired from the art of food preparation (something we have plenty of in K-town). It was nice to catch up with everyone and witness innovation taking over Kuwait one pair of food shorts at a time!

On Sunday, we were invited to the opening of one of my favorite Boston restaurants Figs! They should be officially open by the end of the month in 360 Malls Sky lounge. Kharafi Global brought celebrity chef Todd English’s restaurant to Kuwait, bringing along with it the free formed thin crust pizza, fresh pastas, and amazing desserts!
The amazingly friendly chefs who were brought in from the states to train the staff, were walking around, serving food, mingling with the guests, explaining the ingredients and concept.
The food was amazing, the staff were friendly, we simply fell in love with the place! Can’t wait till its officially open so I can go again!
Thought this was very thoughtful gift! Thank you Figs!

I’ve always been taken by fireworks, I dont know what it is about them but the colors and the lights… totally majestic! It mesmerizes me, I was on a high till early in the morning, trying to sleep but I just couldn’t seem to be able to! I’ve seen my share of amazing firework shows, but yesterday was really worthy of a Guinness Book record.
I loved the little chinese swirls (thats what I’m calling them), and the flying dove! Aaaah beautiful! I do believe that the amount spent on the show was just ridiculous, but it was a once in a life time kind of event, and I’m sure everyone who witnessed it whether at home, on TV, on the balcony of some building, or somewhere on Gulf Road; it’ll be a night to remember!
Chapeau to everyone who participated in making the event come true, and to all the Kuwaiti youth who volunteered their time to help organize last nights event.

Can we agree that we’ve all been to Avenues Phase III? Ok, good. But not all of us have seen it all, and I was lucky enough to be one of the few to get a sneak peek! Hop on the magic carpet, and let me take you on a virtual tour to Prestige, Soku, AlSouk, and the Mall.
Prestige: Kind of self-explanatory, but it’s where you’ll find all the high-end stores, planned to open first week of December. Girls, this is probably where we’ll be finding you shopping..or camping ? *She said Ye, Can we get married at the maaaaaall? You need to show me why you deserve to have it aaaalll*
AlSouk: Old is gold, which is what you’ll find here! Let the pictures speak for themselves for now..(I thought the detailing was out of this world..Doesn’t it look like a Hollywood Arabian themed movie set??)
Taking a step back to the future and into Soku, where you’ll find a New-York/London Town themed area. LOVED this! We won’t be needing to leave Kuwait to see London…perhaps? Maybe not.
And to wrap it all up, here’s the last part of The Mall, which we’ll be seeing more of on Monday!
And that’s a wrap! Share your thoughts..Which is your favorite part?!
