Experience with ZAIN: 4 Days 4 Problems

Im a zain client. Been so for many years.

In light of improvements, quality of service, quality of products and customer satisfaction, I have four things to share with you that’v happened to me recently.

Zain, my experience with you’s been SHain. I dislike showcasing low points of anything or anyone, however, this is a bit too much.

Please read and bare in mind, that I say this with love.

#1 AIRPORT

Went two days ago to pay some bills, buy a product and configure a Wiyana plan.

Got a ticket, number was 305. Looked up at the screens, saw #531, the one next to it was #532.

Got a bit confused, I asked the gentleman at the reception for guidance, here is the conversation:

p0ach: Massak ALLAH bil khair okhoy. Min fathlik, ma3ay # 305 wil shaasha badya min foog el 500. Hal Raqmee ghala6 ? Hal el waraqa ele fe edee 9a7ee7a ?

Receptionist: isteree7 wal7een iyee doorik

p0ach: 6ayib, wain ashoof el raQam? ay shaasha ?

Receptionist: okhoy isteree7 wal7een iyee doorik.

Where do I start ? Attitude, not greeting me back, the fugly energy and presence ?

See I could have given him a bit of fever, but I am p0ach. I don’t get down like that.

Carrying on, the paper/ticket says wait approximately 6 minutes. I waited 10x that period. I waited for an hour. 60 minutes.

Then, I realized the same screen that had these 500+ numbers, alternates !

The receptionist, could have explained that these screens alternate. I would have passed by Starbucks, pink berry or done other things instead of waiting.

Funny thing is, when my time came to sit and actually speak to someone, the staff asked me to WAIT for a while till OTHER clients sit with him since they were on a hurry.

Beautiful. Beyond beautiful.

#2 Internet – 21.6 MBPS

One of the many things I did was to buy a brand new internet USB 21.6 MBPS.

I won’t really talk/give my opinion or state what I think is right or wrong.

Remember boys and girls, this is a 21.6 MB Per second service.

Speedtest.com is the bible when it comes to tests so here goes:

1.07 ? out of 21.6 , I get only 1 ? what about the rest of the 21 ? I actually got 1,01 MB, while 20.59 diminished ? all gone ? I am not even leaving a comment about the upload speed.

See, I find this a bit KOKO.

Back home, the internet speed is 4 or 5 MB per second – I’m not sure, however, here are the results:

Now – lets add a bit of irony – shall we ?

Yes, as you can see, I took ZAIN’s chip, inserted it into a 7.2 MB per second Huawei VIVA modem – which by the way is the same company that provides for both parties.

So what happened ?

Bet you wanna see the results, yes ?

I got nearly 3 MB per second.

If the speed does not exceed 4 or 5 MB per second, why did the guy suggest I go with this plan ?

Why pay nearly 22 KD per month for something worth 1 KD ? (According to me, each MB = 1 KD – so 21 MB = 21 KD)

I signed the contract, the guy gave me a serious face while I was signing, as if this is a REAL commitment.

For the second time, I could have given him a bit of fever, but I am p0ach. I don’t get down like that.

#3 Paying bills

A while back, I wanted to pay my bills automatically. Went to AlMuhallab mall, ZAIN has a branch – basement.

Asked the gentleman for that service, he said:

“Bo9 7adritak, dee 7aga ma timsheesh hinaa 3indinaa bil afro3, dee 7aga lazim TitiiM bil head oViiiZ”

basically telling me he can not perform it, I should head to ZAIN’s H.Office to get this resolved.

SURPRISE SURPRISE

I asked the airport guy for the same, he said we can do everything here and all I need is to to fill this form he gave me.

Which one should I believe ? Airport or Muhallab ?

Another thing in hand is that the form DOES NOT have a DATE of deduction. Meaning, I did not decide when can zain access my account and bill me up.

Once again, asked the guy and he replied:

“Ma Tkhafshh” as in worry not.

For the third time now, I could have given him a bit of fever, but I am p0ach. I don’t get down like that.

#4 Online payment

Plain and simple, went ahead on-line paid like I usually do.

This time however, the moment I clicked on pay or go or whatever that button was, it got me back to zain’s main website.

Received a msg from my bank saying that I paid so and so for zain.

Called 107 – Bill is still there.

Talked to someone from call centre, promised to get my issue resolved and that this issue does happen but its rare.

Then I got this message.

felt happy !! so happy !

then ..

Nothing happened.

*haha* funny mess. Zain whats up ?

Then I got this 2 days later

No one called, I got it fixed though.

for the fourth time, I could have given them a bit of fever, but I am p0ach. I don’t get down like that.

All in all:

Zain, I usually don’t mind what happens, however, this time the mess is too much and is completley unbearable.

I am having a SHAIN experience. Fix it asap. I’m a bit pissed off.

    I hear you friend, I swear if there’s a serious company satisfaction poll SHAIN will be the last amongst the likes of Qualitynet and BMW dealer.
    Not one positive experience with them, high prices and worst customer experience ever, I wonder how they still exist as a company while they suck that much.

      Still, its ok, things happen, however, an improvement is highly needed.

    Really confused of the SIM and modern changes.
    I tried the both, but from my experience with the broadband modems, VIVA is the best signal coverage.

    I felt really :@ reading this. I kept going “WTF” bain fatra w fatra! and I just wish that there was a part in this post where it says that I came in and punched the “istere7″ guy in the chin.

    Zain should stop concentrating on their Ads, play, pleasing the bloggers and such and focus on what’s really important such as better customer service! In my opinion, that’s what makes or breaks a company. Everything else is secondary.

    The frustrating thing is that their services and offers in other countries are way better than the ones in Kuwait! Thank You P0ach, Hopefully they’ll get the message!

I am subscribed to their blackberry service and in July I noticed that the web browser on my blackberry stopped working, even though I continued to pay the monthly subscription, lets not forget to mention that their service is SOOO SLOOW! Pictures sent through my blackberry to twitter or facebook either don’t get posted or take forever to do so, the same thing goes with tweets, and of course there are times when i check my phone and it says no connection (and I have to restart it to get the service back).
    When I went back to using my T-Mobile line, I noticed how HORRIBLE Zain’s service is!! With my T-mobile line, msgs are sent very fast, pictures get loaded my phone is never out of service….so whats the deal Zain?!

    we should teach these companies how to work they are terrible

    When I deal with a service company based in Kuwait the experience IMPOSSIBLE to be perfect I always have problems and headaches and my recent bad experience was with GULFBANK=FAIL

    @Bo6baila is right .. I rarely find any good customer service in Kuwait !
    Kuwaiti companies need a wake up call … They have to know that, in order to get repeat business, both the buying process and subsequent support (aka Customer Service) MUST BE PERFECT !!

    if they are planing to fix anything they wil send some gifts and sugarcoat you with things , like they did to all the other ploggers , so please when they do dont stop Complaining about them just like all the other ploggers with the small flash gift, zain need to know that the real people in the real world are uesing the there services and having problems not only the BLOGGERS
