Discussion For The Ladies: What if ?

I bet ya’ll felt good singing B’s “Run The World (Girls)” yes ?

Ya’ll probably flipped that weave, got down on your knees, right back up with an afro flow, probably a bit of “ساامري” out of joy and happiness with what that song brings to you, yes ?

Now, suppose an artist like say, Usher, Justin or Chris Brown goes out with a title like this “Who Runs The World (MEN)”

You could imagine how the lyrical flow will be, all filled up with me me me – I I I – Massive ego mess.

Ladies, how would you take that ? Be offended or roll with the punches and say its ok, Just like Men did with B’s track ?

      Haha, first things first,

Thank you for the kind words. Trust that I would be more productive If I was not loaded with other things to do. Still, Thank you.

What you said is somewhat funny. However, women too rule a lot of things in the industry from music to politics to food and fashion. Ofcourse men had a bigger share, still women are coming in big time

7areem lal7een mi7tajeen tashjee3 in many countries.. men dont need much help in this department 9ara7a ;p
and even though its just a song, a lot of women look up to beyonce and her message is a good about empowerment and independence ;)

I wouldn’t be offended. James Brown has already said that this is a man’s world. And he added that it wouldn’t be nothing without a woman or a girl.
So, if they make another version of the song you mentioned, it should be called “Who Runs The World (Men WITH THE HELP OF WOMEN)” :P
One thing we can all agree on, is that neither men or women will be able to run the world if they dress/act like Beyonce and the people in her music video.
-No offense to all Beyonce fans-

Most women would be offended by it because, of course, there are double standards when it comes to the issue of sexism. When an artist like Beyonce claims to be superior to men, it’s just “women empowerment”. All her fans will say “you go girl!”. But if it were the opposite, then it’s just misogynistic. Because unfortunately a lot of women, like Beyonce, like to think that because women were oppressed in the past (and continue to be oppressed in certain third world countries), it’s okay to sing about how women are now superior to men. But isn’t the whole agenda of feminism to gain a sense of equality between the two genders? You can’t ask for equal pay and equal rights and then say “Oh btw, I’m better than you”. Leave that phrase to the narrow-minded, ignorant men and corrupt governments. An eye for an eye won’t get you anywhere.

This also reminds me of a certain American talk show I was watching one day that consisted of five women around a table discussing a story of a woman who had castrated her husband because he had asked for a divorce. They giggled and said it was “fabulous” (They used that word exactly; not making it up). I don’t see how that’s empowering to women. It’s disgusting. Could you imagine what would’ve happened if a group of men went on TV and laughed about a man mutilating his wife?

Feminists only wanna talk about the situations where women are the victims, but ignore the issues where women get away with a many things men wouldn’t get away with.

Once we decide to address ALL double standards in society, inflicted on both men and women, will we truly see full equality in all its meanings.

I know your like “shtabi dash hni! e6la3 bara!”

But I would like to say that that no one runs the world, it runs by its own (el7emdellah!). Men & women make this world a gem without them this place has no value… except for water, plants and oil.
