First impression:
I guess my first impression was “The spaceship has landed” I wasn’t wrong at all. The car has a stunning futuristic design you’ll come to understand more and more clearly the minute you get in it – that is – after you quench your thirst by just looking at its beautiful exterior.
Thought that its beautiful alright, but when people stopped me 7-8 times with all questions imaginable – not to mention the unstoppable gaze/eye-lock galore/paparazzi like flash flash click click camera moments all over me wherever I drove. I felt how impressed people were with it. Their energy was loud and clear.
They say kids never lie, these little jewels were touching the car and opening its doors when I went to buy some strawberry chocolate heaven from The Confectioners store at al Tilal. When I came back, they gave me that innocent smurf face, melts my big black heart, so I asked their mum to snap a pic – she said OK! I guess their interest is genuine.

Seriously, my experience screamed that I was driving an attention grabber that literally turns heads. *And I thought it was my smile – HAH!*
Engine:

Alright boys, lets get into the core of this heart-throbbing piece of german creation.
Now the exterior is as smooth as butter, but baby the engine is a screamer – why not ?
A new-generation 4.6-liter V-8 ouputs a fire-breathing 443 lb-ft of torque with free-breathing ultra-low emissions. Twin turbochargers spin up to 150,000 rpm, boosting low-end torque by as much as 45%. Rapid-multispark ignition fires up to four times in a millisecond, while high-pressure Direct Injection manages every atom of fuel with microscopic precision to deliver up to 24 highway mpg.
I dont know if its the engine, the beautiful exterior design, or just me, all I know is it drove like a beast. Still, elegant.
Exterior:

Interior & Functionality:

Dark wood, aluminum with a big burst of flashy fine white leather will take you away. Not to mention the beautiful stitching on the seats and dashboard leather.
I guess the right word to describe it is just plain ol elegant. Nothing else.
Everything is close to you, no need to stretch your hands anywhere. I enjoyed the many functions on the steering wheel, including gear shifts, I didnt lift my eyes off of the road when I got my way with the many, yet useful buttons on it – steering wheel.
I switched lanes, signaled left n right, repeated – skipped tracks off of my ipod, volume up and down, took and rejected calls, shifted gears, browsed the radio, navigation and checked how many kilos left till my next gas belly fill, all while my hands were still on the steering wheel. YES !
Having my iphone connected to the USB for best audio output while my calls are connected through bluetooth is ok, however, the big dial pad on the dashboard had a retro feel to it, yet extremely modern and practical. SMART!
Some of my friends made some remarks about the watch in the centre (can you even imagine ? they left the whole car and focused on the watch – *snap*) they didn’t like it. I, however, thought it looks like a beautiful Santos, Cartier watch. Classic excellence.

Functionality:
The smart interior comes with an even smarter computer that semi-talks to you. Here is what I loved the most:

#1 See that triangle placed in the mirror ? It turns red whenever it senses a freak is next to you. I thought it was stupid, became my favorite feature. That, with all the other sensors in the car combined with the big screen in the middle.
#2 I loved how the steering wheel vibrates 3 times warning that you are slowly moving out of your lane. All you beautiful text-while-driving freaks will find this very useful. *looks at you calls 911*

#3 In Kuwait the main reason we function is climate control. The seats are Air conditioned too. Praise the lawwwwd !
#4 This car comes with BLUE EFFICIENCY technology. What does that mean ? One of the things it does is when your stuck or in a traffic light, your car will automatically stop the engine to save petrol while everything else runs nicely, Air condition included. Runs back again without you even sensing it when you want to move again. How does it happen ? It just happens. SMART !
#5 Fell in love with the extra seat control buttons. Its a sporty car after all, so in order for you to stay put with all of that power behind your steering wheel, your seat must be adjusted in a way that absorbs your body in. You have to try it to believe it. Its not a new feature, but I like it. The hold my waist button was intimate *ahem*.
#6 Park assist: If you are stuck in a sticky situation where parking your car seems impossible, the smart sensors will guide you through a step by step walk through, till you park your car appropriately. This is one of those features that do not make sense try’em out.
#7 is a bit zexy. I loved how you can control the level, color and intensity of lights inside the car. For instance, the dashboard has a yellowish beam to it. Don’t like it ? switch it to white or blue ! ZEXY!

#8 Last but definitely not least, the beautiful smart lights functionality. If you want to turn left, the whole car screams left with you. The pic says it all.
Entertainment:

Put a smart steering wheel with Harman Kardon logic 7 surround sound system with your iPod, instantly, you’re in 7th heaven. I had AlGreen singing “How Can You Mend A Broken Heart” with my coffee on an early saturday. OHHH – that felt so good !
Bonus:
Its a nasty bonus, but something very close to THIS MESS happened again. This time, its the car’s affect, not the child. My smile fails again I guess. HAH!
Wish List:
- Would appreciate it if the Compartment in the middle had a fridge.
– Vacuum doors please.

Thank you so much for the heads up – I got caught up while doing another review, HAH!
Ahh!! YES! I want to combine the new one with the 2009 CLS! 2012 is more musclin. I liked the 2009 model because its a coupe with 4 doors. 2012 is a salon, it looks like a sharper C class with sexy eyes front and back!
how much?
I never liked the CLS model… but a great post P0ach the triangle on the side mirrors and the wheel vibrating if you go of lane should be a must in all cars…
