Welcome back for what? For dissing our sheikhs who have been ruling this country for 4 centuries, and accuses them of money laundering? He even admitted that he lied, and “meant it in another way.” Therefore, he deserved what he got. If we were in another country, he would not have even gotten back home…

Regardless of what he set out to do, fee isloob mu3ayan innas lazim titqayad feeh. Winni3im feeh, bas killis ma kan la da3i isawee illi sawah.
I can’t state a professional opinion, seeing as I’m not a sociopolitical activist, but I would figure that he would have lost all credibility.. him being seen as a liberal rebel is just baffling to me, and reflects a whole new level of heedless awareness of what’s really going on.
There was a better way in which he could have expressed his opinion. Just my two cents.
