I understand that questions like age, sex and relationship are cruical BUT the idea is to splurge out whatever comes on your mind when it comes to gifts, maybe its something you want for yourself.

for me if ur spending money then spend it right! .. the gift have to represent me and my personality and it should be something the other person wants or even needs …
if I know that they want something expensive (ipad maybe) i will either gather friends to pitch in or get a gift voucher from apple for what I can afford …
I also like to give experience gifts like skydiving, 3azeema to dubai for the weekend(if you can afford it and again something that a group of friends can pitch in too) ….
if you don’t know the person very well … then anything will probably do..
I agree with Q8TRAVELBUD.
I would describe a gift as a combination of my personality and the person (I’m giving the gift to) personality.
So that person would remember me and him or herself when they re-look at the gift.
I personally would like a gift that has a touch from the person I’m receiving it from (ex, handwriting, wrapping, picture)
