Phenomenon: Self Loath

I always look forward to the probabilities I may come across when I meet different people outside the pearly gates of Kuwait.

Wonders surround the atmosphere and air I breath when im on vacation. Thats the state I put myself in.

You know, in the airport, before leaving, you get to be dipped in lounges, meets’n'greets, hello do i know you ? lets get to know you more – circus. Vegas style.

I never mind that, I mingle. I don’t mind race, sex, color, status, weight or the nasties. I accept all. This is when I realized im hearing a semi-loud noise coming from one particular family, a kuwaiti family, but I will DECODE what they said so you guys can relate to it your own way. Here goes:

This is what they said – DECODED by me ok ?

Girl: (looking up, angry face, tapping the ground) ohhhhhh I hate us ! we are soooo LATIN, our people are nasty, GAAAAH !

Mum: Shhhhh … don’t let those men hear you (referring to us and the boys and girls around)

Dad: (laughs) let her speak, let her talk … (pauses for a while) I have never seen any race that hates itself more than we do.

Mum: Thats not true.

Girl: (looking my way) yeah ,, so ? let them hear us, as if I care ( all kinds of facial expressions imaginable)

My friend, looked back their way in a state of shock while im in my own heaven.

When I reached my seat (on the plane) I arranged everything upon my convenience, made sure I have all my necessary gadgets next to me, when the boy/male host/airplane-crew came in with coffee and dates, he was so nice and polite, served me just right with a very warm smile, so I gave him the same vibe back with words and body language of appreciation, showing him how much I appreciate his kind service.

And you know who was listening with a “oh no – he didn’t just talk to him like that”

The man was so nice that he brought also the female hosts to talk and mingle with me. I enjoyed it and i felt like my vacation just started.

Still, they were doing the same thing, now with fingers pointing.

Lights went off and I kept thinking “what is it now ? you feel neglected ? again ?” I realized that some people love the attention and they want you to send them the same vibe back.

Attention in this sort: Look at me, im a minority, im less than you, i self loath so you can uplift and upgrade me.

Not happening, its too 1970.

If you were nice to that host, he would have done that and even a bit more to you, since your a girl/woman. Kindness, where is it ? you don’t have it ? Think if you give it, people think you’re weak ?

Lord save us.

I observed that this family is on vacation, their girl was hateful the most, so, my dear, being in that state of self loath should not be your case, you should probably think of what you are about to wear when you reach your destination, places to go, people to meet, things to receive, love to give, I mean the list goes on and on.

Clearly, they wanted me and the people around us to hear them. They were looking my way and wanted my response but I swear I was not in that phase, I was looking at the plane, just left a message to my boss asking him to send my regards to his family, talked to dad, sent a message to my close friends, you know ? I was there, I was in BLISS mode.

I have loads of things to say on this particular incident but i realized im trying to type things that came out as dark or gloomy, me and my readers are having none of that for sure. I shall halt typing.

Conclusion:

To the family: You can keep that. All that energy you gave out, you can keep it and I wish you well. Abdullah is nobody. Abdullah can not give you what you want, you know who does. Pray.

Dear readers and Myself: Never react. Instead of telling others what to do or how to behave, inspire them to change without verbally saying a thing to them. Im still a work in progress in this felid (and many others), no body is perfect, thus the self reference.

Pointing your finger of judgement on others will come back to haunt you.
