Try This: Mind Your Business

One can not avoid the latest messages that have been/still are spread everywhere about marriage news about specific families using BBM, SMS and E-mails. I’v already discussed this mess earlier.

I received these messages on heavy rotation day one.

Day two, I received the same with lots and lots of judgement attached under the original messages which I wont share simply because it belongs to my “class” posts.

On the same day, I asked why are you doing this ? The inevitable answer was “You think with your heart and not your brain, you’ll never understand”

So if im not on the same page with you, how you think, what you want, im considered un-awakened and in the realm of unconsciousness ?

Judge me, my poor brian all you want, but  lemme tell you what I saw:

- Most negative comments came from men & women who are single, insecure, love to hate, self obssesed. *for no reason* If I may add.

- Many, not all, were uneducated and are, somehow, taught, what to think. A college degree does not mean your educated, get it ?

- Many made me burst thoughts like “ And who are you again ?” if you know what im saying.

My advice is to mind your business, wish everyone well and know that fate is everything.

Its very simple. What you give out to the universe will come back to you.

No wonder you’r miserable as hell.

Oh and Karma is a what ? Yup, thats right.

  7. I didn’t get any msgs since I careless for them and don’t pay much attention…but I’m sorry to say that some ppl live in this tiny dark box, and can’t get out of it because of their insecurities and hate or just jahal minhom :s It is a real shame.

  9. ne says:

I think ppl get shocked because they have been raised that way, or mt3awdeen 3ala shay mu3ayan.. I don’t really know.

Like I heard about an engagment the other day, I was more than shocked because of something.. I know deep down that their marriage wont work bs 9ar feeni allah iwafeghum while other ppl were talking about it and jumping to conclusions..

So I guess it is from the way we have been raised…

Bs if I read something from the broadcasts ou ma 3jabni I would only discuss it with my sister/mom/cousin.. Why talk about them infront of everyone and send msgs? That I don’t get..

    • Abdullah says:

I agree with what you said in the begining but that works for a certain age, then you grow, develop and have your own conscious.

I could not agree more on the last phrase, thats what im trying to push in this whole post.

      • QWERTY says:

“but that works for a certain age” .. amen to that!

Still, did you not know that you had great chances of not growing out of that ‘certain age’ AT ALL when you’ve lived in Kuwait for jam3a and got stuck in Kuwait thereafter?

No offense; but the silly gossipping and messaging, which is supposed to be for teenagers only – is being practiced by 25 year olds and that is the norm here.

You find that mentality el gwa6e bel jam3a; you find that mentality in the recruited new employees. Hell, you find that mentality in the good old employees who have falafel for breakfast at ta3lem el3ale! See my point? People here get stuck at their teenaged years for life…

Was I supposed to post this under that VENT post? ;p whoops looool

        • Abdullah says:

HAHA! your supposed to post this wherever you like. And I do agree its childish and stupid, BUT its IN.

Its cool to be rude and state your opinion. They call it bravery. I call it a** kissing. Simply because if I diss the team your against, that makes us friends. NOT !

  13. Nora says:

    biatch :p

I agree, it’s ironic how most of the engagement messages now a days tell us about the family’s history or nationality

for instance, almost two weeks ago I have received a message that says the nationality of the girl’s mom instead of her family’s name. And just two days ago, the nationality of a guy that’s engaged to a kuwaiti woman and i quote “akher 3omerna gimna nakheth zalamat” and they were both broadcasts might i add

  16. Free_Spirited_Faith says:

That is Very True.. College degrees do not asses ur education its just one aspet of a learning process it doesnt necessarily mean You are educated.. It really shocked me to know people with degrees had really stone age mindsets.
and People with insecurities and hate.. u can just feel sorry for them because they are blinded

  20. Snow says:

You’re all talking about an ‘inner racism’ where a Kuwaiti family feels they are ‘better bred’ than another Kuwaiti family…what about when they feel they are better than a whole race? I’m American, married to a Kuwaiti and the racism against us in unbelievable. The very same people who think that bbms like this are wrong are the same people that stare, glare and say nasty comments about my husband and his foreign wife while we walk through the mall or practically fall off the chair shooting daggers from their eyes. I love Kuwait, but frankly I have NEVER seen racism like this before in my entire life. They are racist against all non-Kuwaitis and Kuwaitis!!! When and how can it change?

    • Free_Spirited_Faith says:

Snow.. You are right… there are kuwaiti families who feeel they are better bred than other families.. evidence.. is that they dont let their daughters or sons marry to a certain family.. racism between sunni and shiite.. racism between one shiite family to another and even one sunni family to another.. and racism between nationalities.. its not just that.. racism also between jobs..! its unbelievable. if they find out u dont have a business or money.. they dont even kknow u exist.. and if ur parents are not WELL KNOWN in society.. u are nothing.. It hurts …its sad.. everytime i hear such a situation happenin.. it breaks my heart. i ask myself will they ever change..? despite that I swear to God kuwaities are the nicest Kindest people u would know.. in times of crisis in times of Joy.. They Stick together Always.. but times are changing i just hope for the better an dnot for the worse
