Babygirl’s here, Canon 500D
This baby arrived last week fresh from the states right into my arms. A big thank you to my friend Yousef who ordered it for me using his DHL account. I got it for just 240 KD in comparison to the lovely prices here in kuwait that reached up to 360 KD. 120 KD less is good bargin, no ?
Anyway, the only reason I replaced my old Canon 450D is simply because this baby has video in it.
Photography is amazingly sharp, slick menu, wonderful hand grip hence the big dinosaur hands, continuos photo shoot mode is GORGEOUS, my friends go KOKO when I snap’em up in that mode.
Only thing that this cam lacked was the inability for it to AUTO focus in Video mode, Bummer.

50D Canon is another model.

I took it from amazon, really good.
50 D is amazing too but this one has video HD so maybe its a bit better.
I got mine 2 weeks ago. I’ve been taking pictures every single day since then. I highly recommend Canon 17-40mm F/4.0 L lens.

You Would’ve waited for the 550d T2i its out on the 24th of feb and only for 899for the cam with lens and 799 for the body only, and its 18.1 mega pixels and also have HD video

The price at Alghanim is 298 KD now. When I asked about the huge price difference (in India, even with the various taxes and VAT etc., added, the price is significantly less than the Kuwaiti price), the seller’s answer was that the US cameras are Malaysia-made and the ones available here in Kuwait are Japanese-made. Is your camera made in Japan? What all accessories did you get for the price? How will you manage warranty issues? How can I buy one from the US? Please answer.

I got the cam from amazon US store. Its japanese made.
You only get the lens that comes with the came, the standard lens. No accessories no nothing.
One more thing: I guess the guys are messing around, the price is going low now (still its expensive), I THINK the only reason they went lower with prices is due to the release of the new model the 550 D
You seem to know a bit about cameras and all so I’m wondering which is better the Canon G11 or the 550 D?
