Changed my life. Before you judge it, read it from cover to cover.

Need to loose some pounds before summer comes, *ahem* I mean, MIAMI ;*

    Atikins is a rather harsh diet, and a lot of nutrionist do not advice it. I Like the South Beach diet, similar but severe.

    Nothing wrong with Atkins. Living low carb feels amazing itself. People always tend to confuse ketosis with ketoacidosis. Ketosis isn’t deadly and comes with great benefits such as speeding the fat loss due to ketone bodies exiting your body(excreted etc).

    lol ma7md… Im happy with my 50 kilos,, with la diet wala kharabeet just eat small portions all day with a small tiny miny dinner and ull be great. trust me.. yah and u can still eat fast food but take the bread out and dont worry ull get used to it.and WORK OUT..

    First I want to comment on S’s claim that ketosis is beneficial: There are no benefits from Ketosis; on the contrary ketosis can cause nausea, light headedness, fatigue, and can worsen existing medical problems.
    Carbohydrates should make up between 50-60% of a person’s diet and NOT 0%! (protein should make up about 10-15%, and fats around 30%)
    A diet such as Atkin’s (high fat, high protein) can put a lot of pressure on the kidneys, and with the high fat content of the diet, the risk of heart disease and some cancers is increased. (-I can go on and on with all the fall backs of Atkin’s “revolution”;)

    My advice to those seeking weight loss is to follow a diet lower in fat, free from processed foods, free from high calorie beverages (such as pepsi,etc) as well as other high calorie foods (eg, icecream), rich in fruits and vegetables. Also, choose whole-meal /whole-grain carbohydrates when possible instead of the usual white, as these would digest more slowly and allow you to feel full for a longer period of time. Losing weight is all about moderation and making the right choices.
    It’s also really important that you do at least 30 minutes of physical activity daily.

    Aah I can go on and on about this :) I think I should stop for now though, hope this was useful.
