Review: Munch, you can’t get enough “UMM UMM”

IMG_6403

Friday was a blessed day for sure. Where can i start ?

The friday prayer, family gathering, the insane phone calls, hanging with friends and then comes MUNCH. yes, munch, as in MUNCH-ING, eating, ham ham, nam nam, ” ohhh that was good, gimme another” experience.

Here’s the thing, the nice people over at Munch, decided to graciously send me a round of their best selections, mouthwatering menu. And that, they DID, yet, with a twist may I add. They didn’t just send us their best selection of food, they sent their restaurant to us. Think im kidding ? Here’s proof !

See that ? that right there is where all the magic happens. You see, the ever so talented Chef, Mr. Imteyaz, kept the grill popping with class and elegance you except from well known Kuwaiti Households and perfect tender indian heritage touches of excellence.

Before I jump into what was served, let me just say, that I was hovering over him (the chef) asking him if I could bring him anything to drink, eat, some tissues maybe ? some garbage bags ? anything at all ? He always had the same answer ” No sir, thank you very much, we are fully equipped “. I was so happy, just like a proud father for some reason, do not ask why. Probably because he kept it professional and slick.

What was served you ask ?

Now, please understand that the dishes kept coming, hot, out of the grill, straight to your mouth, literally. I loved how we kept asking what’s coming next ?  knowing that the chef explained everything prior cooking.

How was the food ? imma keep it sharp and quick.

The meat ? Tender, yummy, soft, butter like, quickly disappears/slides to your throat with zero resistance. Its just effortless brilliance.

The chicken, aside from it being grilled, sliced, juicy, minced with green pepper and wrapped in whole brown bread goodness kept the big good vibes coming.

Mini burgers were not tiny. In taste that is. They were BIG, tasteful, and dare i say soulful ? It did remind me of my friend, Amanada, who I met in new york, kept telling me how soul food can keep you grounded, and baby those mini burgers that IMTYAZ prepared were speaking peace language to my stomach, lets just say they made love. I know i was smiling the whole time I ate’em.

The pizza, thin, crunchy, light, fully loaded with toppings that range from cheese, mushrooms, tomato, and then there was something I tasted, didn’t understand what it was, yet it kept my mouth shut from asking, open for another.

The wagu steak, were amazingly wrapped with Avocado, I wasn’t big on that, at first, when my friends tried it, they urged me to try it. Lets just say I ate 5 pieces. did i like it ? I don’t know, you tell me. HAH !

We were a total of 8 people. Usually, I ask my friends to estimate the whole thing all together and the answer was ” are you for real ? when are we having this again ? “

alright, so you know what to do right ? *SNAP*
