Abdullah Interviews Faisal Dashti
Saturday is here, Interviews shine once again with another local star. Before I get to this gentleman I have here with me, I’d like to say thank you to everyone who participated in making this segment happen. THANK YOU.
Today, Faisal Dashti, graces the cover of p0ach.com. He is an entrepreneur, known in the designing field, participated in many events like P2BK, college fair and most recently VIVA’s blackberry event & their Al-Sabah’s Art Gallery section.
I have known him for quite sometime now. He loves photography, design, architcture, painting sketches, family and most of all loads and loads of fun, thats for sure.
He thinks he makes me laugh, I think I play the joker most of the times, so I win, HAH!
Regardless of what I think, lets give you a glimpse at him here, read on:
Ok Faisal, without further a due, spill it out.
Well my name is Faisal, 24 years old, I have a bachelor degree in architecture ( college of engineering and petroleum, kuwait university 2003-2009)
Basically, design is what i live and breath for. I am naturally inspired by things I see. I tend to create things that have my own signature to it. Just because i like customized stuff.
Thankfully, when I participated at the first P2BK event, I was honored to win an award for “Best Booth Design“.
How were you as a kid ?
My childhood was pretty normal. I, however was very quiet, very polite, silent most of the time. It’s way different from what I am now. Another thing I remember is that when I was a kid, I used to see things, memories, go home and immediately paint it down. I felt free and happy when I did that.
What differs you from the rest of the competition out there?
I love the people who are competing out there, they are doing a great job. However, I think my style is very simple looking yet sophisticated in the making. It will always be this way since my inspiration is nature.
What role do your friends and family play to support you?
I will make it short and simple. They are the reason why I live & breath. Thats it.
Where do you see yourself 5 years from now ?
I wish to design a full house for one of my clients one day. Its my dream to do so.
