Abdullah Interviews Essa Al-Essa

p0ach5

Saturday is here, inter-views ring a ring !

Today’s guest is a local superstar, he is already well known in the press but did not have much attention, in my point of view, to the younger crowds. Essa is an inspiration, he is gracing p0ach’s cover for potential reasons like being the young enterponur of a self made psychological theory, a leader in his own right, the youngest manager in a stiff well known bank and a super sweetheart.

Essa is a son, friend & leader that I aim to reach a glimpse of his success one day. Im so proud of you.

Oh well, lets go with the interview then ! (oh and just incase you miss out, you’ll find the interviews on the top right under “interviews”)

Talk about your self: Name, age, interests, degree, work?

I’m Essa Adel Al Essa, 25 years (and 4 months!) old . My majors interests are Photography, surfing the net, traveling, & reading everything that comes in my hand (specially  in the field of philosophy and the Quality of Service) I have earned a bachelors degree in business administration (Major MIS) from Kuwait University in 2004 and joined the banking sector during that year. I worked as a front line staff for 2 years after which I was nominated to be in the Service Quality Management department when I found that I belonged there. My interest in SQ grew each day and In 2008, I grabbed an opportunity to join another leading bank to establish and manage a Service Quality Management department. Now after a year I’m proud to say that the department is considered to be one of the most powerful departments in the bank. In the field of Quality Service, I got 3 training certificates from New York, and 13 from Kuwait. I have conducted more than 50 workshops and seminars in the same field for various Organizations and Universities in Kuwait and all the materials are derived from my own experience. And one of those materials is the Theory Of Seasons, a philosophical theory devised by myself, which is rated frequently as one of the most attended seminars, and was honored by many reputed organizations and universities, and was published in more than 13 sources of Media.

A bit of childhood flashes?

As a kid, I was very stubborn and talkative! I always wanted things to be done the way I wanted it to be no matter how the people around me felt about it. But the good thing is that I started reading at a very early age, I often placed targets for myself to finish a 300 pages book in 2 days. And I made sure I did it, without giving importance to the fact of how much I managed to understand from It.! It was strange but that’s how I was then. After few years, that determination turned into an addiction of reading which has lasted until now. Even though I had a lot of friends, spending time with them was never a major priority. I could never spend time with people more than the time I spend with myself. Other than a strong passion for reading, I also have a keen interest in Photography.

Seminar1

What inspired you to tap into this philosophy?

The core idea of the Service Quality field is to study the expectation and the perception of the customers and act accordingly to achieve a higher level of success for your organization. A sense of deep admiration towards the field of Service Quality made me focus deeply into people’s philosophical changes in order to perform better in the service field. Attending many lectures delivered by well known professors and reading several books written by professional experts, has added to my knowledge and understanding different types of people. However the one problem that I came across was that they were all explaining it from their culture’s perspective, and I never found an Arabic source that explains the nature of the Arabs’ physiological changes. And YES, the changes differ from one culture to another! And at that point of time, I thought of this Theory, which completely came from the Arabian culture, and the material and insights are being collected and analyzed from my daily interaction with people around. Co-workers, friends and family.

Do you adapt your philosophy on yourself, daily life? If so, how did it change you?

I never take a step in my life without going back to the theory which automatically takes me to the required right steps! It has all the vital keys for a perfect life, and to achieve what you’re dreaming of. All the good things happened to me is because of the adaption of The Theory Of Seasons. Life is all about knowing people’s philosophical changes. Once you know it all, you get it all!

Any difficulties along the way?

When I began my career in Service Quality, the age was a concern. Since the service quality field is very critical, it allows you to change every part of the organization for the sake of a better customer experience. Having such an authority in an early age is something which could bring many objections from the people around. However, I have worked through in gaining the trust of the people and the management that has helped overcome such difficulties at every point of time.

Also when I began conducting the Theory Of Seasons, I faced the same issue, explaining people’s psychological changes in the age of 23 (When I started 2 years ago) wasn’t a comfortable thing for people in the age of 50′s and 60′s! But now, I am happy that the base of those people in my seminars is getting much wider!

Support? Family & friends?

A wonderful father, mother, brother, sister, and a close friend named Hamoud Al Rubaian, were always behind me, motivate me, encourage me, and clap a hand for me whenever I succeed, and help me stand whenever I fall. Also the support of my wonderful team in the Service Quality Department and the Theory Of Seasons group is such a great push toward success.

Where do you see yourself 5 years from now?

Can we expect a book from you anytime soon?

The idea of publishing a book is there, and I am willing to do so after one year’s time. But yet the people can read and enjoy some interesting stuff of the theory through my website www.TheoryOfSeaons.com which will be published within a month

Throw something for p0ach readers (motivational, advice, etc)

I would like to say something that I always tell people around me. Everything is possible, everything is doable, never stop dreaming, dream just like you breath! And thanks to you p0ach for the lovely interview.
